Jeff Townsend MA
Jeff has over 20 years of experience in politics and government relations.
He has a Masters degree in Politics and International Relations. He completed internships at the Africa Desk of Congressional Research in Washington DC, and with a consulting minerals economist in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Jeff spent ten years as an advisor to MPs in the UK Parliament, during which time he founded the All Party Parliamentary Group for International Mining.
Since leaving Westminster, Jeff has provided political advice to FTSE100 and S&P500 companies, recently to the rare earth and battery metal sector. Jeff founded the Critical Minerals Association and the All Party Parliamentary Group for Critical Minerals. He is a regular speaker on critical minerals at industry events.
Ian Townsend BSc CEng FIMMM FSAIMM
Ian has a degree and practical experience globally in Minerals Engineering.
He worked in production management at copper, gold, uranium, tin and nickel plants in the UK, Zambia, South Africa, Australia and Canada, and process development projects in Brazil and Australia. His experience also includes feasibility studies, commissioning, process technology, and capital equipment sales globally. He was general manager and managing director of a leading process equipment manufacturer's subsidiaries in the UK, Germany and South Africa.
Ian was a council member of the IMM, and later council member and president of MinSouth. He has contributed chapters to minerals processing text books and papers on filtration and coal-gold agglomeration.
